In Need Home (hereinafter called “INH”) is a legalised NGO started by Anny Ngoga Bwengye in 2003 and makes 20years this year of 2023. It was started with an aim of helping the vulnerable children in the slums of Namuwongo.
Years back when INH started, children would come at mid-day to get what to eat and use the toilets because there were few toilets in the slums and to access them, one had to pay an average of 200-500 shillings, most people resorted to open defecation which made the slum poor in terms of sanitation since some people were not able to pay. As time went on, the organization enrolled for morning time whereby the children were provided with breakfast and lunch.

Our path to help the less privileged is not been a smooth journey. However, we will never give up and keep working for a brighter future for children and Uganda at large.
Because we have our dear donors, staff, board members, volunteers and interns who support INH and always encourage us. Because we have our dear children, families, and communities that trust and appreciate INH.
Thank you all for the love you have given us for the last 20 years. INH will keep walking forward to live up to your support for the next 20 years.
