INH initiative has emerged, transforming both healthcare and livelihood opportunities  for residents in the slums. By focusing on patient and elderly care, this program aims not only to provide  vital services for aging populations but also to offer sustainable employment for those living in undeserved areas. This approach addresses two critical challenges: the growing demand for healthcare workers and economic hardships faced by people in the slums.

FLYER FOR THE COURSE

As population age, the need for caregivers who can support elderly patients and those with chronic illnesses is increasing globally. However, access to quality healthcare is often limited, especially in developing countries, where resources are stretched and trained healthcare professionals are in short supply. At the same time, slums are often home to individuals with limited formal  education and few job opportunities, leading to cycles of poverty and unemployment.

INH which is behind this program recognized the potential for addressing both these issues simultaneously. By training residents of slums in patient and elderly care, they could not only fill the growing demand for caregivers but also provide a pathway out of poverty foe individuals and families struggling to make ends meet

After completing the training, participants receive certification, making them eligible for employment in hospitals, nursing homes, or private households. The certification not only provides them with a credible qualification but also boosts their confidence and chances of employment.

INH which led the initiative  to train slum residents  in patient and elderly care is a powerful example of how targeted interventions can transform lives. By addressing both healthcare needs and unemployment, the program provides a pathway to dignity, self-reliance, and improved quality of life.
