In Need Home (INH) recently organized an important entrepreneurship training at its premises. This training was created to help guardians and youths of the children supported by INH learn how to start and manage their own businesses.
The beneficiaries of this training had earlier taken part in a project called the In Need Home Skilling Development Program (ISDP), which was funded by the Waldesian Church of Italy. Through ISDP, they gained practical skills such as tailoring, phone repair, digital skills, and hair dressing. However, INH saw that having a skill alone is not enough. People also need knowledge on how to turn their skills into successful businesses. Because of this, INH found it important to organize a business training to support the beneficiaries of the ISDP project. The training focused on simple but important ideas. Participants learned how to start a small business with the little money they have. They were taught how to plan, save, and use money carefully. Trainers also explained how to set prices, keep records, and treat customers well. These lessons were shared in a simple and practical way so that everyone could understand. During the sessions, participants were encouraged to share their ideas and experiences. Some already had small businesses, while others were planning to start. The training helped them see new opportunities and gave them confidence to grow. The impact of the training is already being seen. Some participants have started small businesses and are earning income. Others are planning carefully and saving money to begin. Guardians are now better able to support their families, and youths feel more hopeful about their future.
In conclusion, the entrepreneurship training organized by INH has played a big role in strengthening the skills and confidence of the participants. By building on the foundation provided by the ISDP project, the program is helping people turn their skills into sustainable sources of income and build better lives.
