Our geographical scope is the slums in Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA): We currently have presence in Katwe, Kisenyi, Namuwongo, Wabigalo and Kibuli Slums.
In Katwe and Kisenyi slums, we work in a consortium with Moroto Catholic Diocese -Women and Equal Opportunities Desk (WEOD) to address the Trafficking in Children (TIC) of Karamojong children from Karamoja to Kampala. In collaboration with Moroto Diocese, we run a children transit centre in Katwe slum and we rescue children from street begging and exploitation; rehabilitate and re-integrate them back to Karamoja and in schools.
In Namuwongo, Wabigalo and Kibuli slums, we empower underprivileged children through education; empower their households to increase their incomes and protect children from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
