Who is Yuto ??

Mugyebale ba nyabo ne ba sebo. Amanya gange nze Yuto. Nva  Japan!!

Hello everyone, my name is Yuto ISHIHARA from Japan. I’m a JICA volunteer as a youth activist.

What does Yuto do at In Need Home?

From last February to this November, I have been teaching Math and Japanese to children and supporting savings groups to strengthen household economies.

I believe the main actors are the Ugandan people, and I am here just to offer support. Even after I leave, In Need Home will continue its work with the community. That is why I always think deeply about what kind of support can be truly sustainable.

Through this experience, I have grown much more than before.

I am very grateful to everyone who welcomed me warmly. I will keep doing my best to support you, so let us continue learning and working together!!

Why is Yuto here?

By the way, why am I here?  I joined this JICA volunteer program because I wanted to learn deeply about Uganda’s education and community life. And also I wanted to be part of Ugandan’s life.

It is a great opportunity for me to work here to understand Uganda’s situation and share ideas.

In the future, I hope to use this experience to support international cooperation between Japan and Uganda!!

Please feel free to talk to me anytime. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Webale nyo!! Thank you so much!! ありがとう!!
